A well-established accountancy practice based in central Birmingham is looking to bring in an experienced Accountant to support its growing client base. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with clients and taking ownership of accounts from start to finish. The position offers a good mix of management reporting, statutory work, and regular client interaction.
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing monthly and quarterly Management Accounts for a range of clients
- Producing Statutory Accounts in line with current regulations
- Putting together clear and useful reporting packs
- Speaking directly with clients to gather information, answer queries, and explain figures in a straightforward way
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes, helping to keep everything running smoothly
What they’re looking for:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or part-qualified
- Around 3–5 years’ experience working within an accountancy practice
- Confident preparing both Management and Statutory Accounts independently
- Comfortable dealing with clients and building relationships
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage deadlines
