Puro Associates are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded law firm with a strong national presence in their search for an experienced Wills & Probate Solicitor to join their established Private Client team in Manchester. Key Responsibilities of the Wills and Probate Solicitor:- Drafting straightforward and complex wills, including those involving discretionary and life interest trusts.
- Advising clients on estate planning and asset protection, including tax-efficient strategies.
- Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney for both financial and health-related matters.
- Managing the full probate process from application through to estate distribution.
- Dealing with inheritance tax returns and liaising with HMRC where necessary.
- Advising on trust creation and providing ongoing administration support.
- Reviewing and amending existing legal documents to ensure they reflect current legislation and client intent.
- Supporting clients with sensitive issues in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 4 years' PQE in wills and probate/private client law.
- Sound knowledge of estate planning, trusts, and the probate process.
- Excellent client communication skills with a strong sense of empathy and discretion.
- Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently.
- Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- STEP membership or working towards it would be advantageous, but not essential.
