Responsibilities:
- Managing the overall performance and daily operations of the practice
- Leading, mentoring, and developing team members to create a high-performing environment
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with compliance requirements
- Supporting operational improvements and driving best practice across the business
- Managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, explaining financial matters in a clear and approachable way
Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
- At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong leadership experience, including coaching, team development, and performance management
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP, Companies Act requirements, and HMRC compliance
- Confident using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
- Highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Professional, discreet, and confident handling sensitive information
- A proactive and forward-thinking approach with the ability to lead strategically, not just operationally
- Experience working with farming or agricultural clients would be an advantage (desirable but not essential)
