Salary: Up to £60,000 (DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the overall performance and daily operations of the practice
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing team members to create a high-performing environment
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with compliance requirements
  • Supporting operational improvements and driving best practice across the business
  • Managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, explaining financial matters in a clear and approachable way

Qualifications:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
  • At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience within a UK accountancy practice
  • Strong leadership experience, including coaching, team development, and performance management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong understanding of UK GAAP, Companies Act requirements, and HMRC compliance
  • Confident using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • Highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Professional, discreet, and confident handling sensitive information
  • A proactive and forward-thinking approach with the ability to lead strategically, not just operationally
  • Experience working with farming or agricultural clients would be an advantage (desirable but not essential)
