Role
You will manage your own caseload of civil litigation matters from instruction through to settlement or trial, working within a supportive and experienced team environment. The successful candidate will receive ongoing training, supervision, and opportunities for career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload from inception to conclusion
- Reviewing new enquiries and assessing prospects of success
- Investigating claims and obtaining supporting evidence
- Drafting pre‑action correspondence and legal documentation
- Conducting settlement negotiations
- Preparing court proceedings and progressing litigated matters
- Maintaining accurate file management and case records
- Delivering excellent client care throughout the lifecycle of a claim
- Working to deadlines and performance targets
Candidate Requirements – Essential
- Newly Qualified Solicitor, FCILEx, or equivalent litigation experience
- Litigation experience gained through a training contract, paralegal role, legal placement, or similar
- Excellent communication and client‑care skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
- Positive, proactive, and professional approach

- Experience handling litigated matters

- Previous claimant litigation experience
