The Opportunity: PureSpectrum is seeking an energetic, motivated and ambitious sales professional to grow our business within the market research sector in the UK. As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for sales prospecting and onboarding new clients to meet regional sales targets and building a profitable business. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully build a sales funnel, prospect and close new clients by providing product expertise and advice to support new customers. This is a strategically important, yet hands-on position, working with many different types of levels in organisations, and varying roles and levels to successfully implement and grow usage of PureSpectrum. This role will report to a senior leader within the Client team, with the final reporting structure to be confirmed based on the candidate's experience and organisational alignment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Grow PureSpectrum’s MR facing business in EMEA.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Meet or exceed sales targets.
- Maintain accurate and timely forecasts.
- Become an expert on all PureSpectrum products.
- Achieve proficiency on prospect product demos and close deals.
- Using personal network, social media and contact lists to build and manage sales pipeline, prospect new clients and set up meetings.
- Liaise with Managing Director, EMEA and Director, Project Management EMEA to facilitate continued and consistent growth.
- Onboard new customers.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have 5+ years of sales experience in the market research or equivalent industry.
- Experience within the education sector, particularly in a university or academic research setting, is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education/professional experience preferred.
- Self-motivated and ambitious desire to exceed sales targets.
- Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong follow-through skills.
- Well-developed time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Solid judgement and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of project management tools and concepts.
- Experience providing outstanding customer care and support in a software or tech environment.
- Strong analytical aptitude, results oriented mindset with great attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Word & Excel and familiarity with CRM based solutions (i.e., Pipedrive, Salesforce, NetSuite, etc.).
