We’re looking for a highly motivated Prepress Operator to join our busy, fast-paced production team. You’ll play a key role in preparing files for print and ensuring work moves smoothly through our manufacturing process. This role sits at the heart of production. You’ll be working closely with multiple departments across the factory, checking files, managing workflows, and making sure everything is ready for press while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality. If you have solid commercial print knowledge, a sharp eye for detail, and thrive in a fast-moving environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Shift Pattern: This is a nightshift position, working 4 x nights per week.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing and checking client files for print production
- Managing prepress workflows and ensuring jobs are ready for press
- Working closely with production teams across the factory to keep jobs moving efficiently
- Maintaining quality control and accuracy across all incoming artwork
- Using Adobe CC and Enfocus Pitstop to check, edit, and optimise files
- Managing deadlines across multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment
- Identifying potential production issues and resolving them before press
What You’ll Need:
- Experience working in a commercial print or prepress environment
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience using Enfocus Pitstop for file checking and editing
- Solid understanding of print production and manufacturing workflows
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control
- Confidence communicating across multiple departments
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritise workload
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Kodak Prinergy Workflow
- Knowledge of colour management processes
- Basic retouching skills
- Experience working in a high-volume print production environment
