Workshop Manager

Monday to Friday – 8.00am to 6.00pm with ½ hour unpaid lunch break.

Permanent position at Swindon. Salary is dependent on experience.

We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Manager to join our busy client based in their Swindon branch.

The Role:

  • This is a very hands on, exciting, busy and challenging role.
  • Working within the team you will assist the daily operation of the workshop and its various components ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and control use of all workshop resources (staff, space and equipment) to ensure maximum impact on quality of work, efficiency and profitability.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe operation of the workshop.
  • To be an active member of the service department team comprising workshop reception, foreman and stores to encourage high staff morale, timely customer care, workshop efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor, resolve and report any action as appropriate to any health and safety issues in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications:

  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise deadlines
  • Experience of working to KPI’s, budgets and meeting targets
  • Used to working in a busy and fast paced environment
  • Experience in the automotive industry is essential
