We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Accessory Fitter to join our client, a small family business in Swindon.

Responsibilities

  • Fitting accessories to Pick-up trucks, including Canopies/Hard tops, tow bars with electrics, storage systems, and lighting systems such as beacons and work lights.
  • Complete fitting and repairs in the time allotted while keeping to high company standards.
  • Knowledge of auto-electrical work and basic vehicle mechanics.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using hand tools and power tools.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to identify any potential problems or safety concerns.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts and components.
  • Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
  • Communicate any issues to Workshop Manager and conduct any additional repair work as advised.
  • Keep work area clean and tidy and maintain a professional image and ensure the safety of all team members.
  • Communicate timeliness of order completion.

Requirements

  • Technical qualifications preferred but not essential as training provided.
  • Knowledge of vehicle mechanics and electrical systems.
  • Experience with vehicle accessory fitment.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and self-motivated.
  • Creative problem solving.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
