We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Testing Engineer - Domestic to join our client based in Swindon.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in domestic homes.
- Perform electrical inspections to ensure compliance with current UK wiring regulations (BS 7671).
- Carry out remedial works following failed or unsatisfactory EICRs.
- Diagnose electrical faults and complete corrective actions.
- Document findings using digital reporting tools (laptops/tablets).
- Liaise with tenants, housing officers, or property managers to ensure smooth access and communication.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
- 2391 (or 2394/2395) Testing & Inspection qualification & ECS card essential.
- Strong understanding of domestic electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently across multiple properties per day.
- Good communication and digital reporting skills.
