We are currently recruiting for a Despatch/Lab Assistant to join our client based in Swindon.
Role Responsibilities:
- Minimise lab costs by reducing wastage, remakes and ordering all products from the most appropriate 'approved' core suppliers.
- Be aware of controllable cost management within the lab.
- Ensure environmental and sustainability procedures are followed.
- Contribute to consistently excellent Product Quality Health Check scores.
- Achieve consistently excellent scores for instore product quality audits.
- Receive consistently positive feedback from customers.
- Support a one big team culture throughout the store.
- Meet and exceed all personal and team goals.
- Engage in Learning & Development for new product launches & initiatives.
- Ensure customers’ needs are met effectively, on time whilst maintaining a high level of product quality.
- Ensure front of store staff are informed if there is any problem or delay to their order.
- Maintain a professional focus and seek to improve your own skills and product knowledge.
- Understand and analyse prescriptions accurately.
- Embrace a culture of “Customer First” in the lab.
- Comply with Health and Safety guidelines effectively, with particular focus on Lab equipment, cleanliness and safe practices.
- Demonstrate technical competency.
- Monitor the progress of orders and sign-off completed orders.
- Conduct housekeeping, ensuring the appearance of the laboratory is always clean, professional and organised.
Training Requirements:
- Level 1 (recommended training – Laboratory technician induction).
- Level 2 (recommended training – Laboratory technician): All aspects of laboratory technician level 1, plus:
- Ensure customers with more complex needs are met.
- Order and monitor the progress of orders with core suppliers.
- Carry out regular quality audits.
- Support apprentices throughout the store with their apprenticeship learning (if applicable).
