Our client is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is an office-based role, requiring attendance in the office five days a week, Monday – Friday and is ideal for someone with solid all-round accounts experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions
  • Managing invoices, payments, and reconciliations
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Assisting with month-end processes
  • Supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks
  • Using Xero to manage financial data and reporting
  • Providing general administrative support to the finance function as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar accounting or finance role with well-rounded accounts experience
  • Proficiency in Xero is essential
  • Be happy to work from the office five days per week, Monday - Friday
  • Be organised, accurate, and have excellent attention to detail
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

Desirable

  • Previous experience working with purchase ledger and sales ledger is desirable; however, we can be flexible
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to work
