We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Assistant to join our client based in their Southampton branch.
The Role:
As Marketing Assistant, you’ll play a key role in how the company communicates, promotes, and connects with customers. You’ll help deliver marketing activity that strengthens their brand and supports customer engagement. You’ll work across digital, print, and in-person channels—creating content, managing assets, supporting events, and helping bring the marketing strategy to life. This is a brand-new role, so you’ll need to be confident working independently as well as collaborating with the wider team. Travel is essential – you’ll regularly visit their depots to review branding and marketing materials, engage with local teams, support group-wide initiatives, attend training and marketing meetings, and assist with shows and events.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintain consistent and engaging branding across all channels and locations.
- Create compelling content: blogs, newsletters, social posts, and marketing copy.
- Support websites, email campaigns, and digital advertising.
- Assist in planning and delivering exhibitions, open days, and promotional events.
- Build and grow engagement on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
- Track performance, research trends, and identify new marketing opportunities.
- Ensure marketing materials are maintained and up to date across all depots.
The Person:
A motivated, organised, and creative marketer who can take ownership of projects while working closely with the wider team.
Essential:
- Minimum of three years’ marketing experience
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Proactive, can-do attitude with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Willingness to travel regularly to all locations
Desirable:
- Experience in event planning or campaign coordination
- Knowledge of automotive, logistics, or commercial vehicles
