We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our client at their Faringdon site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, repair and diagnostics of a range of vehicles ensuring that work undertaken is of the highest quality.

You will liaise with customers directly regarding their vehicles, provide support and guidance to less experienced members of the team, carry out jobs within the budgeted time and take responsibility for daily maintenance of tools and equipment.

You will need to

  • Be qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Motor Vehicle Service and Repair or equivalent.
  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Complete vehicle inspections and identify any additional work required.
  • Carry out MOT preparation and repairs where required.
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and technical issues.
  • Replace and repair components including brakes, clutches, suspension, exhausts and timing systems.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with manufacturer specifications and health & safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
  • Work efficiently to meet agreed deadlines and productivity targets.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, service advisors and customers when required.
