We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded Senior Operations Manager to join an ambitious, purpose-led organisation at an exciting stage of growth. This is a pivotal role for a confident operator who thrives on bringing structure, clarity and momentum to a fast-moving SME consultancy, while strengthening systems, standards and operational infrastructure.
You will lead a small team and work closely with senior leadership and specialist external partners, with a key focus on driving the transformation of Salesforce, improving data quality, reporting and business insight, and ensuring systems and processes support commercial and strategic priorities. Alongside this, you will provide oversight across IT and digital infrastructure, AI and automation, people operations, financial governance, quality, compliance, facilities and operational assurance.
The successful candidate will bring significant experience within a senior operations, business management, practice management or similar leadership role, ideally gained within an SME consultancy, professional services or other entrepreneurial and growing organisation. Hands-on Salesforce experience is essential, including reporting, data quality, user adoption and the ability to lead a structured programme of enhancements and improvements.
You will be an organised, pragmatic and commercially astute leader, comfortable balancing hands-on delivery with wider operational leadership, managing competing priorities and developing an accountable, high-performing team. An interest in AI, automation and digital transformation is important, alongside practical financial administration experience and an understanding of UK GDPR and operational compliance.
- Lead the day-to-day operational management of the business, ensuring systems, standards and ways of working are consistently embedded and aligned with the delivery of the business strategy.
- Support the full employee and consultant lifecycle, ensuring a positive, well-organised and consistent experience across the organisation.
- Oversee digital and IT infrastructure, working with external suppliers to ensure systems are secure, reliable and fit for purpose.
- Oversee the quality, compliance and operational assurance framework, working closely with the COO and specialist advisers to ensure systems, controls and records remain robust, current and proportionate to the needs of the business.
- Lead, coach and develop the operations team, creating clear expectations, shared priorities and a positive culture of accountability.
- Take hands-on ownership of the Salesforce CRM system, ensuring data quality, reporting, user adoption and functionality are maintained and continuously improved.
- Take responsibility for office operations, facilities and day-to-day workplace management, ensuring the office environment is efficient, well-run and supports the needs of the team and business.
If you value working within a purpose-driven, creative, and people-centred organisation, and take genuine satisfaction from bringing order, clarity, and steadiness to a busy SME professional environment, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful impact - ensuring the business runs effectively today while strengthening the operational foundations for tomorrow.
