This is a senior, closing-focused role at the sharp end of our Warrington sales floor. As well as converting the qualified leads passed to you and prospecting your own opportunities, you will act as the team's closer, stepping in to take deals sourced and worked by our lead generation consultants and getting them over the line. Once a client is on board, you will own that relationship as their primary point of contact for renewals, queries, and additional services.
You will work with businesses across a wide range of sectors and contract sizes, advising on supplier options, negotiating rates on their behalf, and structuring deals that work commercially for both client and broker. This is a role for a senior closer who can be trusted with the deals that matter most, is comfortable picking up the phone to build their own pipeline, and is looking for the basic, the commission structure, and the desk space to do their best work.
What you'll do
- Sales and Closing
- Converting qualified leads from the lead generation team into signed contracts.
- Acting as the team's senior closer, stepping into deals sourced and worked by our lead generation consultants and bringing them to signature.
- Generating and prospecting your own opportunities through outbound activity, networking, and referrals to supplement the leads provided.
- Advising prospective clients on supplier options, contract structures, and market timing in a way that is clear, honest, and commercially sound.
- Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive rates and terms.
- Managing your pipeline end-to-end, from first conversation through to contract signature.
- Account Management
- Owning the ongoing relationship with clients you bring on, acting as their primary contact for the life of the contract.
- Managing renewals proactively, ensuring clients are reviewed well in advance of contract end dates.
- Identifying opportunities to add value through additional services, including our energy monitoring software.
- Resolving client queries promptly and maintaining the standards of service that drive our 91% renewal rate.
- General
- Maintaining accurate records of client interactions, contracts, and pipeline activity in our CRM.
- Working closely with the lead generation team, giving feedback on lead quality and sharing what you know to help them improve conversion.
- Contributing to a high-performing team culture in our Warrington office.
What we look for
- A strong track record in B2B sales as a high-volume closer, consistently hitting and exceeding targets.
- Comfortable both working inbound qualified leads and self-generating opportunities through outbound prospecting.
- The credibility and consistency to close deals sourced by others, not just your own, and to be the person the team trusts with its most important opportunities.
- Experience in energy broking, utilities, or a similar advisory sales environment is preferred but not essential. Strong closers from other B2B sectors will be considered.
- Confident handling commercial negotiations with both clients and suppliers.
- Genuine account management instincts: someone who builds relationships rather than churns through them.
- A professional, articulate communicator, comfortable speaking with decision makers at all levels.
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage a pipeline without close supervision.
- Comfortable working to KPIs and commercial targets.
