An opportunity has arisen for a Powder Coater for our client, based in Sudbury, Suffolk. As the Powder Coater your duties will include:
- Prepare metal components for coating, including cleaning, masking, and pre-treatment processes
- Apply powder coating using manual or automated spray equipment
- Operate curing ovens and monitor temperatures and curing times
- Inspect coated parts to ensure finish quality, thickness, and consistency meet specifications
- Identify and rectify coating defects if not in line with our quality specifications
- Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of spray equipment and work areas
- Follow job specifications, work instructions, and production schedules
An ideal candidate for the Powder Coater will have:
- Previous experience in powder coating, paint spraying, or a similar manufacturing environment (preferred but not always required)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Understanding of surface preparation and finishing processes (advantageous)
