Location: Sudbury, Suffolk - Transport essential due to location

Salary: £50,000 Circa

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8.00am-5.00pm (1 hour lunch)

Contract Type: Full time, permanent

Our client based near Sudbury, Suffolk is looking for a Procurement Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. As a Procurement Manager your duties will include:

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers across raw materials, packaging, indirect goods, and CAPEX categories to ensure quality, continuity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee tendering processes, contract negotiations, and supplier onboarding activities.
  • Build and maintain strong, value-driven supplier relationships to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and key stakeholders across departments to align procurement activities with wider business objectives and supply chain strategies.
  • Contribute to company goals around sustainability, traceability, and ethical sourcing through strategic supplier partnerships.
  • Oversee day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, packaging, indirect services, and capital equipment.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on procurement KPIs, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Procurement team (including direct line management of a Procurement Specialist) to achieve high engagement, performance, and professional growth.

An ideal candidate for the Procurement Manager will have:

  • CIPS qualified – (minimum Level 5).
  • Relevant experience in a procurement leadership role within the food, ingredients, manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
  • Demonstrate success in developing and executing procurement strategies.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier relationships.
