Our client based in Haverhill, Suffolk is seeking a Stores Operative to join their team on a full-time basis. As a Stores Operative, your duties will include:
- Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring all goods are processed accurately.
- Record and maintain stock information within the MRP system, ensuring inventory records remain up to date.
- Allocate, store and distribute materials to the appropriate departments in line with company procedures.
- Pick and issue components, consumables and production orders to support manufacturing operations.
- Prepare, pack and dispatch customer orders securely, producing all relevant shipping documentation.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the stores area, ensuring a safe and organised working environment.
An ideal candidate for the Stores Operative role will have:
- Previous experience within a stores, goods-in or dispatch environment.
- Stock control knowledge and experience.
- Previous stock take experience.
- Experience working to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- The ability to lift and handle heavy items and work with pallet handling equipment.
