Contract: Temporary on-going

Hours: Monday - Friday

Set shift on either earlies (6am-2pm), lates (2pm-10pm) or nights (10pm-6am night premium paid)

An opportunity has arisen for General Operative for our client based in Haverhill, Suffolk.

As the General Operative your duties will include:

  • Operate and maintain a variety of machinery including lathes, milling machines, drilling rigs and cutting equipment
  • Set up, align and calibrate tooling, work‑holders and fixtures for machining components
  • Assemble machined parts, carry out finishing operations
  • Monitor machine performance, conduct routine checks, perform basic maintenance, and report issues promptly.

An ideal candidate for the General Operative will have:

  • Familiarity with machining previously. Ideally you will have experience within a similar position.
