This is your chance to step into a role that’s all about bringing our people and culture together, helping shape the experience of our colleagues across the PureGym Group.

This secondment is perfect for someone who may not have done this exact role before, but has experience or a strong interest in communications, brand, marketing, engagement or events — and most importantly, is passionate about our people and our culture. If you’re looking to develop your career and build new skills, we’d love to hear from you.

Our Central Support functions are based in London and Leeds, with the Central People team based in London. This role has a requirement to be in the London office at least 3 days a week and as required for additional meetings/events in relation to the role.

What you’ll be doing:

You don’t need to tick every single box – if you’ve got some relevant experience and a passion to learn, we’ll support you to grow into the role.

  • Working hand in hand with Christy, our Employee Engagement and Comms Manager to deliver our comms and engagement agenda across the Group.
  • Help shape and manage our communications and engagement calendar, working with People and Marketing teams to align key cultural and business moments.
  • Build great internal networks to stay close to what’s happening across the business, and help tell those stories in a meaningful way.
  • Write and edit internal comms content that’s clear, engaging and aligned to our tone of voice.
  • Support the management of our internal communication channels – from email and Workplace, to podcasts, town halls, and more.
  • Lead and support engagement campaigns and initiatives including International Women’s Day, Pride, Mental Health Awareness and key business moments.
  • Work collaboratively with our People Function to deliver on wellbeing or similar People initiatives.
  • Partner with our Head of Talent & Inclusion on delivering our Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging strategy.
  • Collaborate with Employee Groups to ensure all voices are heard, and celebrate their stories through creative comms and campaigns.
  • Coordinate internal events like our Group Summit, GM conferences and Awards Ceremony.
  • Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness, making data-led recommendations to improve reach and impact.

What we’re looking for:

We’re open to a variety of backgrounds. You might be in a brand, marketing, operations, gym or support role already and looking to try something new. What matters most is your enthusiasm, ideas, and desire to contribute to our people experience.

  • Some experience in internal communications, engagement, marketing, brand or similar roles – but we don’t expect you to have done it all before!
  • Strong written communication skills – confident writing for different channels and audiences.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for detail, and a passion for storytelling.
  • Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with digital tools (e.g., Connect, email platforms) – experience with Canva or other similar software is preferable but not essential.
  • A people-first mindset and a genuine interest in building a great employee experience.

Interested?
This is a fantastic opportunity to stretch your skills, try something new, and contribute to a high-impact area of the business. Whether you’ve worked in comms before, run engagement initiatives in your team, or just have a passion for making people feel valued and connected — we encourage you to apply.
