I’m supporting a growing specialist consultancy that advises international lenders, investors and project developers on complex environmental and social risks. They are looking for a Senior or Principal Consultant to lead Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Due Diligence assignments across major international development and infrastructure projects. This is not a purely technical reporting position. You will take ownership of complex consulting projects, advise senior stakeholders and translate environmental and social risks into practical recommendations that support investment, financing and project-development decisions.
The role will include:
- Leading complex environmental and social advisory projects
- Managing client relationships, project delivery and internal teams
- Reviewing risks and providing clear, practical recommendations
- Producing high-quality technical and strategic deliverables
- Supporting proposals and wider business growth
- Coaching and supporting less experienced colleagues
The strongest candidates will have:
- Significant experience within environmental and social advisory or consultancy
- Experience managing complex projects and senior stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of environmental and social risk management
- The ability to turn technical findings into commercially relevant advice
- Strong communication, project-management and client-facing skills
- Experience supporting business development or proposal activity
- A relevant environmental, sustainability or related degree
Experience working across major infrastructure, energy, natural resources or international development projects would be particularly valuable. This opportunity would suit someone who combines technical credibility with commercial awareness, strong client-management skills and the confidence to take ownership of complex international assignments. The business offers flexible working, strong professional-development support, an annual training budget and the opportunity to work on high-impact projects across a wide range of markets.
