I have recently teamed up with a national platform for advancing the energy transition.

The Environmental and Sustainability Manager will take the lead in developing and executing the Company’s environmental management system and sustainability strategy across all operational functions.

This role encompasses strategic planning, implementation, and oversight of sustainability initiatives to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and foster sustainable practices throughout the Company’s operations and energy assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Company’s environmental management system
• ISO 14001 certification.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and accreditation standards.
• Oversee the environmental compliance of heating, flexible generation, and battery storage
• Design and manage programs aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of operations
• Support operational teams by integrating environmental best practices
• Identify and implement strategies to improve sustainability and environmental performance.

Experience:

• Knowledge of environmental legislation, compliance, and best practices
• Experience conducting Environmental aspects & Impacts assessment
• Ability to produce gap analysis and plan to achieve ISO14001 accreditation
• Environmental Managment
• Environmental Risk
• Understanding of energy systems
• Experience developing and managing sustainability initiatives
• Ability to build good working relationships
