We are partnered with a FTSE250 manufacturing firm who is seeking a Tax Manager on a 12 + month fully remote fixed-term contract to support its tax team. The role covers all aspects of UK corporate tax compliance & reporting including risk management, controls, and tax policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead UK tax compliance, reporting, forecasting, and payment processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Drive the implementation of the group tax strategy, including preparation of UK tax incentives and claims in collaboration with advisers.
- Strengthen UK tax governance by embedding robust policies and controls to meet Senior Accounting Officer requirements and proactively manage tax risks.
- Monitor and interpret new UK tax legislation, advising on impacts to effective tax rate, disclosures, and compliance obligations.
- Prepare UK tax provisions and support group financial reporting, including liaison with auditors.
- Contribute to strategic projects such as restructuring, M&A, and financing, providing technical tax advice to optimise outcomes and reduce risk.
- Partner with business stakeholders to enhance tax reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and compliance processes.
- Maintain positive relationships with tax authorities, supporting dispute resolution and policy matters.
- Assist with overseas tax management, including treaty clearances, audits, and compliance tracking.
- Support the roll-out and ongoing effectiveness of tax software during the transition to SAP S4 Hana.
Who We’re Looking For
- Degree-qualified with a recognised accounting or tax qualification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience managing projects and collaborating across teams.
- Strong background in tax, with solid knowledge of tax accounting principles.
