Interim VAT Senior Manager

I am working with a renowned publisher who is looking for an interim VAT senior manager to join the team as soon as possible for a 3-4 month period.
The manager will be involved in indirect tax strategy, compliance oversight and project work. The ideal candidate will hold a tax or accounting qualification, and have strong indirect tax experience.
The role is hybrid, 2 days in the office in Oxfordshire.

Working alongside the Head of Tax and a VAT manager, the interim senior manager will be responsible for:

• Overseeing VAT compliance, including identifying and mitigating risk.
• Business partnering with wider business and providing technical VAT advice matters.
• Support the team in VAT matters for project work.

The interim senior manager will:

• Hold an accounting or tax qualification.
• Have VAT experience gained from work on an inhouse VAT team.
• Have strong indirect tax technical knowledge.
