We are looking for a highly structured, detail-oriented Food Production Manager to lead our central kitchen operations with a strong focus on compliance, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all food production processes to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, safe products.
  • Maintain strict adherence to SALSA accreditation standards, health & safety policies, and food hygiene regulations (HACCP, COSHH, etc.).
  • Ensure all production activities are well-documented and follow clear standard operating procedures.
  • Supervise and coach kitchen staff, promoting accountability, structure, and attention to detail at every level.
  • Manage and optimise daily production schedules to meet both retail and wholesale demand.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage ordering, and reduce waste through careful planning and control.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational issues, ensuring all kitchen systems run smoothly and safely.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and food safety excellence.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in food production management or a similar central kitchen leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in a SALSA or BRC-accredited environment is highly desirable.
  • Meticulously organised with strong planning and documentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of food safety legislation and safe working practices.
  • A clear communicator who leads by example and holds teams to high standards.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Commitment to quality, consistency, and compliance.
