Overview
Our Civil Engineering client operates throughout the UK delivering integrated solutions for projects in Water, Utilities, Rail, Highway\’s and Energy. Their Civils division operates within the water industry delivering projects for Tier1 main contractors. Due to recent awards and a healthy order book for clients working in a 5 year framework, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage a portfolio of projects from inception through to final accounts. This is an exciting time to join this business who are going through a strategic growth period, where you will be part of a team who are all passionate about delivering the company goals and objectives. There will be a mixture of 3-4 days in the office, and the rest working from home. Site visits will be as and when required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure commercial compliance of current contracts, protecting the position of the company.
- Provide the delivery teams with commercial support (Change management process and contractual/commercial advice).
- Production and monthly updating of the project out-turn forecast and incoming/outgoing cashflow forecasts with PM support.
- Preparation and production of monthly commercial reports in line with company procedures.
- Prepare contractual notices for all events and variations and administer the Subcontract conditions, accordingly, aided and supported by the Senior Commercial Manager and the rest of the management team.
Qualifications / Experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Previous experience in a Construction/Civil Engineering/Utilities industry background.
- NEC 3 or NEC4 experience.
