Our client is a leading Civil Engineering and Construction company, delivering design-and-build projects with clients in the water treatment sector across the UK. They require Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to join their delivery team for a design and build water/wastewater treatment framework in Dorset with projects ranging from £5m - over £100m. You will be joining a growing collaborative team with a great reputation in the UK Civil Engineering industry. Ideally you will have previous non-infrastructure water experience, but they could consider candidates from a heavy civil/construction design and build background who has worked on large scale projects.

Responsibilities

  • The role will require experience of both design and delivery of water projects with the successful individual either responsible for the delivery of one major project or a portfolio of smaller projects.
  • Provide whole life oversight and accountability for the successful delivery of projects and services, through design, procurement, assembly, commissioning, and handover as required.
  • Work closely with the commercial & supply chain team, ensuring engagement from tender through to delivery to achieve commercial performance requirements.
  • Control all aspects of programmes ensuring systems, policies and procedures are fully adhered to.
  • Leading a team of site managers to ensure successful execution of the programme.
  • Overall responsibility for commercial and programme delivery whilst ensuring client satisfaction.

Experience required

  • HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferably water treatment industry experience but would consider a strong civil design and build background.
  • Strong track record of delivery of project programmes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training.
