Our client is a leading main contracting Civil Engineering and Construction company, delivering design-and-build projects with clients in the water treatment sector across the UK.
They require a Site Agent to join their delivery team for a design and build water/wastewater treatment framework in the Thames Valley region with projects ranging from £5m – over £100m.
You will be joining a growing collaborative team with a great reputation in the UK Civil Engineering industry.
As Site Agent, ideally you will have previous non-infrastructure water experience, but they could consider candidates from a heavy civil/construction design and build background who has worked on large scale projects.
Responsibilities
We’re looking for a Site Agent to take a leading role in delivering safe, efficient and profitable civil engineering projects.
You’ll be responsible for driving programme, quality and budget performance while supporting and mentoring your team to achieve successful project outcomes.
- The Site Agent will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of projects, working closely with Works Managers, Project Managers, site teams and clients to ensure schemes are delivered safely, efficiently and commercially.
- Preparation of all relevant documentation prior to the commencement of the installation phase of contracts.
- Risk Assessments and Method Statements for activities being undertaken by directly employed resources.
- Manage, supervise and mentor engineering resource to ensure compliance with the contract drawings, specification and ensuring effective implementation of all engineering controls.
- Support the Project Manager with controlling costs, forecasting value and the production of programmes.
Experience required.
- Previous experience working as a Site Agent or similar within Civil Engineering.
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering.
- Demonstrable experience of working within the water and / or sewage industries (preferred).
- Strong civil engineering background with solid knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
- Relevant H&S qualifications (IOSH or CITB 5 Day Site Safety Management, A relevant CSCS card, First Aid training and EUSR).
- Good understanding of commercial and contractual aspects.
