Our clients offer an extensive range of civil engineering and infrastructure services working very closely with Tier 1 contractors and consultancy clients. Typical projects include highways, bridges, junction improvements, and public realm works. As Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be office based in their office near Loughborough with support from a Senior QS / Commercial Manager. Responsibilities: * Assisting in accurate cost estimates, budget management, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. * Assisting in the procurement, selection and management of subcontractor accounts from award to final account. * Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely cost advice. * Monitoring of the contract programme identifying/raising early warnings/potential variations/quotations. * Completion of monthly valuations submitting applications as required by the company/Contract requirements. * Carrying out internal cost value management of projects producing monthly project management reports for review with senior management. Experience Required: * Previous experience in a similar role within the Civil Engineering/Construction industry. * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying. * Preferably NEC 3 or NEC4 and JCT experience
