Are you an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for an opportunity to join a thriving contractor in the Water Industry? You will be working on a flexible basis where there will be a mixture of working on site 2 days (West of London), office in central London 2 days, and 1 day working from home.

Our client is going from strength to strength, picking up new water treatment frameworks throughout the UK.

This role is to work on their Thames Water framework on NEC4 Option A & C contracts for projects ranging from GBP50k to GBP5m. You will gain experience across a whole host of varied projects including installation of new storage tanks, extensions of water treatment plant, tunnelling, large scale pipework and much more. It will also keep you within the Thames region for a guaranteed 5 years with the additional benefit of offerings across the country should you ever wish to move!

They are looking for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor with one to two years experience, ideally gained within the civil engineering arena and utilising the NEC form of contract. The work will provide you with the opportunity to run your own projects from start to finish with the support of a Managing Quantity Surveyor.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in accurate cost estimates, budget management, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assisting in the procurement, selection and management of subcontractor accounts from award to final account.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely cost advice.
  • Monitoring of the contract programme identifying/raising early warnings/potential variations/quotations.
  • Completion of monthly valuations submitting applications as required by the company/Contract requirements.
  • Carrying out internal cost value management of projects producing monthly project management reports for review with senior management.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the Civil Engineering/Construction industry.
  • Preferably water industry experience.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
  • NEC 3 or NEC4.

Hybrid working from the office in Marylebone, the sites, and home. A generous salary is on offer in addition to a car allowance, pension, 25 days holiday and a 40-hour working week.
