Production Print Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Production Print Field Service Engineer to deliver high-quality technical support across a range of Production Print products.
This role focuses on providing exceptional service, minimising downtime, and ensuring customers receive a smooth, professional experience.
You will also play a key part in supporting and coaching a team of PPD Field Service Engineers.
We are open to candidates from a Print Production background who are interested in career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver installation, maintenance, and repair services to customers, ensuring all work meets agreed SLAs.
- Provide first-line technical advice and support across Production Print products.
- Follow level-two escalation processes to ensure faults are resolved quickly and customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Support Field Service Technicians in adopting best practices, utilising systems effectively, and following correct procedures.
- Take a lead role in ensuring Operator Replaceable Unit (ORU) customers are confident and competent with processes and workflows.
- Provide clear updates on escalation status via internal systems, ensuring all stakeholders remain informed.
- Deliver technical coaching to Field Service Technicians, supporting talent development and continuous learning.
- Communicate technical updates and information from the technical support teams to ensure engineers have the latest knowledge required to resolve faults efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong knowledge of Production Print technology and workflows.
- Excellent electrical, technical, and mechanical engineering skills.
- Advanced fault-diagnosis capability.
- Experience providing remote technical support.
- Strong customer-handing skills with a professional, calm approach.
- Confident communication skills β written and verbal.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and support Field Service Technicians.
- Strong presentation skills.
