We are seeking an experienced Photocopier and/or Print Solutions Analyst to join a busy technical services team. This hybrid role combines hands-on engineering with analytical problem-solving, supporting the installation, configuration, optimisation, and ongoing maintenance of HP and Xerox print environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering reliable print infrastructure, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring exceptional performance and customer satisfaction across enterprise and production-level environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and optimise HP and Xerox multifunction printers, copiers, and production print devices at customer sites.
- Deploy and support print management solutions, including secure print, follow-me printing, workflow automation, and platforms such as Xerox Workplace Suite and HP Access Control.
- Deliver end-user training on device functionality, secure printing practices, and print management tools.
- Provide break-fix support, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related print issues.
- Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance, including firmware updates, component replacement, and system health checks.
- Produce accurate technical documentation, service reports, and configuration records in line with SLAs.
- Work closely with Pre-Sales and Solutions teams to support custom print strategies and enterprise-level deployments.
Experience, Skills & Personal Qualities
- 3-5 years' experience within Photocopiers / MFD diagnostics.
- Solid understanding of print servers, networking protocols, Active Directory/LDAP integration, and print queue management.
- Hands-on experience with firmware upgrades, configuration utilities, and fleet management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows and macOS print architecture.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a field team.
- Experience delivering end-user training or knowledge-transfer sessions is highly desirable.
Desirable Qualifications
- HP Certified Technician.
- Xerox Solutions or Production Print Certifications.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent IT certification.
