We are seeking an experienced Mid-Senior Game Developer to join a leading iGaming provider, playing a key role in the development of terminal-based gaming machine content within a highly skilled and collaborative team.
This position is ideally suited to someone with strong iGaming or gambling sector experience who understands the technical and regulatory requirements of delivering gaming products for terminal-based environments.
In this role, you will take ownership of game development projects from concept through to delivery, working closely with producers, artists, mathematicians and QA teams to create high-quality gaming experiences for terminal-based gaming machines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing game software using C++
- Leading development of terminal-based gaming machine content
- Contributing to game technical and statistical specifications
- Working with producers to identify efficient implementation solutions
- Supporting mathematical modelling, simulations and game balancing
- Collaborating with artists to optimise graphical presentation and asset integration
- Mentoring developers and promoting development best practices
- Driving continuous improvement across tools, processes and methodologies
- Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed quality and timescale expectations
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong commercial C++ development experience
- Proven experience within the iGaming or gambling sector
- Experience developing video-based or graphical gaming applications
- Experience developing software for gaming machines or terminal-based platforms
- Familiarity with DirectX environments
- Experience using source control systems such as Git or SVN
- Strong understanding of software architecture and development best practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with STL or Boost C++ template libraries
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience with HTML5, JavaScript and/or Python
- Strong understanding of probability theory and statistical mathematics
- Experience developing regulated gaming products for land-based terminals or casino machines
- Experience mentoring or leading developers within a technical team
