Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: Southampton
Salary: £48,000 + Package
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established building services team, working across a range of commercial sites.
This is a varied role suited to an engineer with a strong commercial gas background who is also confident electrically. Alongside commercial heating and gas equipment, you will work across associated HVAC plant, so experience with AHUs, packaged systems and mini-split air conditioning systems would be highly advantageous.
The Role
You will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, fault finding and repair of commercial heating and HVAC equipment across a portfolio of commercial sites.
- Commercial boilers and heating systems
- Gas-fired plant
- Pumps and associated controls
- AHUs, including gas-fired heating sections
- Packaged HVAC systems
- Mini-split and split air conditioning systems
- General mechanical building services equipment
Essential Requirements
You must have:
- Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer
- Current commercial gas qualifications/tickets
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience
- Three-phase electrical experience
- Experience working safely on electrical and mechanical plant
- Full UK driving licence
Relevant commercial gas qualifications may include:
- COCN1
- CIGA1
- CORT1
- ICPN1
- TPCP1 / TPCP1A
- CDGA1
- CCP1
Desirable Experience
Experience with any of the following would be particularly useful:
- Air Handling Units (AHUs)
- Packaged HVAC systems
- Mini-splits / split air conditioning
- HVAC controls
- Heat pumps
- LPHW systems
- Pumps and inverters
- General commercial HVAC maintenance
An F-Gas qualification would be advantageous but is not essential provided you have relevant HVAC exposure.
