We're recruiting for a Mobile Fitter to join a leading UK rail engineering organisation, supporting maintenance on freight vehicles, locomotives, and rolling stock. The ideal candidate should come from a heavy mechanical engineering background.

- HGV / LGV Technician
- Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic
- REME Vehicle Mechanic
- Royal Air Force Mechanical / Aircraft Technician
- Royal Navy Marine Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled maintenance at approved locations
- Diagnose and repair electrical & mechanical faults
- Perform testing and inspections on rail assets
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately
- Work safely within all procedures and guidelines
- Operate both independently and within a team
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Must pass a DBS
- Must pass a rail medical and drug and alcohol screening test
- Must be a British citizen
Working Pattern
Rolling 6-week rota cycle includes an 'As Required' week for additional support. Typically worked as 4 x 10-hour shifts during the week.
