About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Laundry Installation Engineer to join a leading manufacturer provider within the laundry industry. This field-based role involves installing a wide range of commercial laundry equipment across customer sites including care homes, hotels, hospitals, schools, and commercial laundries within the Northern areas. You must be flexible on areas of coverage with occasional overnight stays as and when.
Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial laundry equipment such as washing machines, tumble dryers, rotary irons, and finishing equipment
- Carry out pre‑installation surveys, ensuring correct utilities, access, and compliance
- Complete commissioning, testing, and customer handover
- Provide technical support and advice on correct usage and maintenance
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with industry standards
- Maintain accurate installation documentation and job records
- Work collaboratively with the wider technical and service teams
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience installing commercial laundry equipment (or strong transferable skills from electrical catering, Washware or similar electro‑mechanical fields)
- Confident working with 3‑phase electrical systems
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and installation specifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Gas qualifications (e.g., CCN1 / CCNLG1 / CLE1) are desirable — higher salary available if gas qualified
Salary & Benefits Package
- Basic salary up to £45,000 (depending on gas qualifications)
- 42.5‑hour working week
- Paid door to door
- Performance bonus scheme (based on first‑fix) - OTE £45,000+
- On‑call rota: 1 in 6 weekends, with £25 per day standby allowance
- Overtime rates: 1.5x on Saturdays, 2x on Sundays & Bank Holidays
- 33 days holiday (including 8 bank holidays)
