We are recruiting a skilled Mobile Maintenance Engineer to cover sites across Central London (North & South of the river). You must be flexible and prepared to travel throughout Central London as required.
The Role – Mobile Building Maintenance Engineer
As a Building Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of leisure facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs):
- Emergency lighting testing
- Fire door inspections and minor remedials
- Water temperature monitoring
- Legionella compliance tasks
- General statutory compliance checks
- Reactive Maintenance:
- Basic electrical repairs (lamps, ballasts, sockets, fault finding)
- Basic plumbing (taps, toilets, minor leaks)
- Replacing ceiling tiles and carpet tiles
- Minor decorating and making good
- General building fabric repairs
This is a varied, hands-on mobile maintenance role suited to an all-rounder with strong building services knowledge.
Salary & Benefits
- £41,000
- Door-to-door travel paid
- Standard rate paid for the first 50 hours per week (including travel)
- Overtime: 1.5x Monday–Saturday after 50 hours
- Double time Sundays & Bank Holidays
- Company van & fuel card provided
- Long-term, stable contract within the leisure sector
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Building Maintenance Engineer / Fabric Engineer / Multi-Skilled Engineer
- Experience carrying out PPMs including emergency lighting, fire doors & water compliance
- Basic electrical and plumbing competency
- Good all-round building fabric skills
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)
- Must supply your own hand tools
- Flexible to cover all of Central London
