We are seeking a skilled and qualified Commercial & Domestic Gas Engineer to join a leading service provider supporting a wide range of clients across Scotland. This is a field‑based role attending planned and reactive gas and plumbing works across commercial and domestic sites. You’ll be the face of the business, delivering high‑quality service, repairs and installations while maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend client sites to carry out reactive repairs, planned maintenance, quoted works and installations across commercial and domestic gas and plumbing systems
  • Deliver high‑quality servicing, fault‑finding and diagnostic work
  • Use company and client IT systems accurately, ensuring all job information is recorded correctly
  • Work closely with the Service Desk and follow job instructions efficiently
  • Participate in the on‑call rota
  • Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle to a high standard
  • Ensure all work areas are left clean and tidy
  • Complete all job documentation daily via tablet/phone
  • Submit expenses weekly
  • Drive safely and maintain the company vehicle, including arranging servicing and reporting any accidents or damage
  • Attend training courses to maintain compliance and keep technical knowledge up to date
  • Carry out any additional duties reasonably requested by management

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Current Commercial & Domestic Gas qualifications (ACS)
  • Strong experience across gas and plumbing systems
  • Additional qualifications such as OFTEC, IPAF, PASMA, Unvented are advantageous
  • Excellent diagnostic and reactive repair skills
  • Professional and confident when representing the company onsite
  • Strong problem‑solving ability
  • Able to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
  • Willingness to travel to meet business needs

Health & Safety & Quality

  • Follow all company and client Health & Safety policies
  • Ensure compliance with BS EN ISO 9001:2008 procedures relevant to the role
