Role Overview
You’ll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting commercial HVAC equipment, ensuring systems remain safe, efficient, and fully operational. Equipment you’ll encounter includes (but isn’t limited to): commercial boilers, radiant heating systems, burners, split systems, VRV/VRF units, air handling units, and chillers.
Key Duties
- Perform installation, servicing, and fault diagnosis across commercial HVAC systems
- Carry out both scheduled maintenance and reactive breakdown response
- Identify defective components and complete repairs or replacements as needed
- Attend emergency call-outs when required
- Complete planned preventative maintenance visits
- Accurately document work completed, including materials used
- Adhere strictly to health & safety standards at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Solid background in mechanical systems, including repair and maintenance work
- Strong organisational ability with a methodical approach to tasks
- Clear communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues
Required Certifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
- F-Gas Certification (Level 2 or 3)
- Valid Commercial Gas Safe qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- Enhanced DBS clearance (mandatory)
Desirable (but not essential)
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Commercial Catering Gas
- City & Guilds 5831 (Electrical Safe Isolation)
- 17th or 18th Edition Electrical Regulations
