About the Role
Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client operating within the steel distribution industry in the Wombourne area. This HGV Class 2 Driver position offers steady Monday to Friday work, flexible start times and excellent earning potential with no handball involved.
Duties and Responsibilities
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering steel products to commercial customers nationwide
- Completing between 6 and 8 deliveries per shift
- Ensuring loads are transported safely and professionally
- Completing accurate delivery documentation using an electronic POD device
- Carrying out vehicle checks in line with company procedures
- Complying with all driver hours and road transport regulations
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Typical start times between 06:00 and 08:00
- Flexibility available on start times
- Shift lengths between 8 and 12 hours
- Ongoing work throughout the year
Requirements
To be considered for this HGV Class 2 Driver role you will require:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
- Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
- Excellent attention to detail when completing paperwork and POD information
- Professional and reliable approach to work
