Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our long-standing client based in the Tewkesbury area. Our client is a well-established temperature-controlled logistics provider, delivering fresh and chilled products to customers across the UK through a modern transport network and high-performing fleet.
Pay Rates
- Monday to Sunday: £17.50 per hour
PAYE (Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
- Monday to Sunday: £19.61 per hour
Drivers can choose whether to receive accrued holiday pay or rolled-up holiday pay as part of their hourly rate.
The Role
As a HGV Class 1 Night Driver, you will be completing multi-drop deliveries of chilled products to a variety of customers, including retailers, schools, hospitality venues and commercial premises throughout the region.
Typical duties include:
- Multi-drop deliveries of chilled goods
- Completing daily vehicle defect checks
- Loading and unloading deliveries where required
- Safely securing and transporting goods
- Completing delivery paperwork and POD documentation
- Ensuring deliveries are made on time and to customer requirements
- Complying with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
- Maintaining excellent standards of professionalism and road safety
This HGV Class 1 Night Driver role involves working within a busy logistics and distribution environment where reliability, attention to detail and customer service are essential.
Shift Information
- Night shifts available Monday to Sunday
- Typical start times between 20:00 and 02:00
- Average shift length 10-12 hours
- Ongoing work throughout the year
- Additional shifts available subject to business requirements
Driver Requirements
To be considered for this HGV Class 1 Night Driver position, you will require:
- Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Licence
- Valid CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of Driver Hours Regulations
- Minimum 6 months Class 1 experience preferred
- A professional and reliable attitude
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
