About the Role
Pure Staff are recruiting for a Van Driver on behalf of a well-established distribution business operating within the home and household goods sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Van Driver seeking long-term, ongoing work with a professional employer that regularly offers permanent positions to successful agency workers.
Working from the Tamworth area, the successful Van Driver will complete multi-drop deliveries to both commercial and residential customers nationwide.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete multi-drop deliveries of household products to businesses and residential properties
- Carry out typically 6 to 8 deliveries per shift
- Safely load, unload and handball goods as required
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately using an electronic POD device
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
- Deliver excellent customer service at every delivery location
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and driving regulations
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Typical start time of 06:00
- Flexible start times may be available where operationally possible
- Shift lengths between 8 and 12 hours
- Long-term ongoing work available
- No regular weekend working
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous Van Driver experience preferred
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling duties
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to use electronic POD systems accurately
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious attitude
- Good understanding of UK road safety regulations
