Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to work with our well-established client in the St Albans area. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV Class 2 Driver seeking consistent weekday work, excellent earning potential and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
Working within the logistics and transport industry, you will be part of a two-person delivery team carrying out deliveries and installations at customer locations throughout the region.
Pay Rates
Monday to Friday
- £16.42 per hour (PAYE)
- £18.40 per hour including holiday pay
Holiday Pay
- Holiday pay is accrued separately in accordance with PAYE regulations.
- Rolled-up holiday pay is not available for this vacancy.
About the Role
Our client is a leading provider of transport and delivery solutions, offering a professional working environment, modern vehicles and long-term opportunities for dedicated drivers. This HGV Class 2 Driver role combines driving responsibilities with customer-facing delivery and installation duties, with full training provided where required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Heavy handball work as part of a two-person delivery crew
- Delivery and installation of printers at customer sites
- Full installation training provided
- Occasional installation of parcel locker units
- Ensuring all deliveries and installations are completed safely and efficiently
- Providing professional and courteous customer service
- Completing all delivery paperwork and documentation accurately
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Following all road transport and health and safety procedures
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Typical shift lengths of 10-12 hours
- Ongoing long-term assignment
- Consistent weekly hours available
Requirements
- Valid Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
- Ability to undertake heavy manual handling duties
- Professional and reliable attitude
- Good knowledge of UK driving regulations
