Soil Laboratory Technician
Pure Staff are currently recruiting for Soil Laboratory Technicians to join our client based in Coleshill. Our client operates within the insurance sector and is looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to support their soil testing and laboratory operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skills in a technical environment. Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for candidates who have a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn.
The successful candidates will assist with the preparation, testing and handling of soil samples, ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with company procedures.
Your Role
As a Soil Laboratory Technician, your duties will include:
Receiving, sorting and preparing soil samples for laboratory testing
Carrying out basic soil testing procedures in accordance with company guidelines
Preparing samples and materials for analysis
Recording test results and maintaining accurate records
Checking samples for identification and ensuring correct labelling
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe laboratory environment
Following health and safety procedures and laboratory guidelines
Handling samples carefully to prevent contamination
Supporting the wider laboratory team with general duties as required
Requirements
Previous laboratory, testing or technical experience is desirable but not essential
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to follow instructions and procedures
Good organisational skills and a methodical approach to work
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Comfortable working as part of a team
Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training
Pay & Shifts
£12.71 per hour
Monday to Friday
08:00 until 16:00
