Pay Rates
Standard PAYE Rates
- Monday to Friday: £18.00 per hour
- Saturday: £19.00 per hour
- Sunday / Bank Holiday: £20.00 per hour
PAYE with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay
- Monday to Friday: £20.17 per hour
- Saturday: £21.29 per hour
- Sunday / Bank Holiday: £22.41 per hour
Rolled-up holiday pay is available as an option for this vacancy.
About the Role
Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Night Driver on behalf of a well-established distribution business based in the Stoke-on-Trent area. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Class 1 Night Driver seeking ongoing, long-term work with a reputable employer that values its drivers and offers genuine opportunities for permanent employment.
The successful Class 1 Night Driver will be working within the logistics and distribution industry, delivering goods to businesses throughout the region while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete deliveries to business customers across the region
- Carry out between 1 and 3 drops per shift
- Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle in line with all regulations
- Assist with unloading and handball duties where required
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately using an electronic POD device
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
- Maintain excellent levels of customer service at delivery locations
Shift Pattern
- Predominantly Monday to Friday work
- Flexible start times available between 4am and 6am
- Shift lengths typically between 8 and 12 hours
- Weekend shifts may be available
- Regular work with consistent scheduling
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately
- Comfortable carrying out manual handling and unloading duties when required
- Reliable and professional approach to work
