Pure Staff are recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers for a well-established and respected logistics operation based in the Bristol area. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Class 1 Driver seeking ongoing, long-term work with a friendly transport team, modern vehicles and the potential to secure permanent employment.
This role offers regular night shifts, no handball and consistent trunking work delivering chilled goods into RDCs.
Pay Rates
Monday to Friday
- £18.00 per hour PAYE
- £20.17 per hour PAYE including rolled-up holiday pay
Saturday
- £19.00 per hour PAYE
- £21.29 per hour PAYE including rolled-up holiday pay
Sunday & Bank Holidays
- £20.00 per hour PAYE
- £22.41 per hour PAYE including rolled-up holiday pay
Rolled-up holiday pay is available as an optional payment method for this vacancy.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting a Class 1 Driver to join a busy transport operation within the temperature-controlled logistics sector. This is ongoing work with regular shifts available throughout the week and optional weekend overtime for drivers looking to maximise their earnings.
The role involves refrigerated trailer work with straightforward trunking duties and excellent support from the transport team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Trunking chilled and refrigerated goods to RDCs
- Conducting vehicle checks before and after shifts
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
- Following all Driver Hours and Working Time regulations
- Representing the business professionally at all times
- Operating Class 1 vehicles in a safe and compliant manner
- No handball involved
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Optional Saturday and Sunday overtime available
- Typical start times between 18:00 and 19:00
- Occasional later starts up to 22:00
- Shift durations between 8 and 12 hours
- Night shifts
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of driver rules and regulations
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
