HGV Class 1 Weekend Driver – Bilston – Up to £22.41 per Hour (Including Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Weekend Driver to support one of our long-established clients based in Bilston, supplying food products to RDCs and retail stores across the UK.
Our client is a well-established food manufacturing and distribution business with decades of experience supplying high-quality products to major retailers, food service providers and manufacturers nationwide.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV Class 1 Weekend Driver looking for consistent weekend work, excellent rates of pay, well-maintained vehicles and support from a highly experienced transport operation. Drivers regularly choose to remain on this contract long-term due to the positive working environment and high standards throughout the operation.
Pay Rates
Saturday
- £19.00 per hour PAYE
- £21.29 per hour PAYE including rolled-up holiday pay
Sunday / Bank Holiday
- £20.00 per hour PAYE
- £22.41 per hour PAYE including rolled-up holiday pay
Holiday Pay
This vacancy offers drivers the choice of:
- Accrued holiday pay or
- Rolled-up holiday pay paid on top of your hourly rate

The Role
As a HGV Class 1 Weekend Driver, you will be completing nationwide deliveries of food products to RDCs and retail stores.
Typical duties include:
- Delivering to RDCs and retail stores nationwide
- Ensuring all POD and delivery documentation is completed accurately
- Conducting vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Working in line with WTD and Drivers' Hours regulations
- Representing both Pure Staff and our client professionally
This food distribution role offers a good balance of driving and customer interaction, with well-planned routes and support from an experienced transport team.
Shift Information
- Saturday and Sunday shifts
- Typical start times between 01:00 and 06:00
- 8-12 hour shift lengths
- Regular ongoing work available
Requirements
To be considered for this HGV Class 1 Weekend Driver position, you must have:
- Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) licence
- Valid CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and WTD regulations
- Professional and reliable approach to work
