Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing client based in Bilston. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity to join an established engineering team supporting production, facilities, and continuous improvement across the site. The successful Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in maximising production uptime, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems.
Your Role
- Managing daily engineering resources to ensure production runs effectively and customer requirements are met
- Planning, monitoring and deploying Preventive and Autonomous Maintenance
- Providing engineering support to other group companies where required
- Carrying out repairs to buildings and non-production equipment
- Organising quotations and managing contractor works
- Evaluating equipment performance and implementing improvement actions
- Recommending and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and safety
- Minimising production costs and wastage
- Spare parts planning and inventory control
- Maintaining accurate maintenance and compliance records
- Procuring and managing external service providers for specialist works
Requirements
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Flexible, positive attitude and strong team-working ability
- Respectful and professional approach
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience working with CNC and PLC machinery
- Experience with rotary flatbed die-cutting presses, horizontal splitting machines, and slitter/rewind lamination equipment
- Ability to follow procedures and technical instructions accurately
Working Hours
38 hours per week Monday- Thursday: 07:00- 17:00
Paid 10-minute morning break
Unpaid 30-minute lunch break
