Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Steering Rack Assembler to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Birmingham. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced assembler with a strong background in precision mechanical assembly. The successful candidate will be joining a skilled production team assembling high-quality automotive components to exacting standards.
Your Role
- Assembling complex mechanical components to detailed engineering drawings and specifications
- Building and fitting power steering units, steering racks, brake calipers and pump assemblies
- Carrying out sub-assembly and full build assembly processes
- Using hand tools, torque tools and precision measuring equipment
- Conducting quality checks to ensure all assemblies meet required tolerances and standards
- Identifying and reporting faults, defects or component issues
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workstation
- Working in line with all quality, health
